If I damage my property with my vehicle (that may or may not be insured with RACQ) is this damage claimable under my building or vehicle insurance?
If you have a Comprehensive Motor insurance policy with RACQ, you will be covered for the damages to your motor vehicle. However, this type of insurance does not cover damage to your own property as per exclusions as part of our Motor Vehicle PDS. We don’t cover loss or damage to any vehicle or property that you or anyone covered by your policy owns or has a financial interest in. See the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS), any applicable Supplementary PDS, Key Facts Sheet and Target Market Determinations for more information.
You may also be able to make a separate claim under Household insurance if your home is insured with RACQ.
If you are not insured with us, you should contact your insurer to work out what you are entitled to claim.
