If I have an active RACQ Enthusiast policy prior to 7 November 2020, is my car/motorbike still covered?
Your policy remains active until the expiry on your current Certificate of Insurance. Our decision to withdraw this product will not impact on any current or future claims for your current period of insurance.
What does the withdrawal of RACQ Enthusiast Insurance mean if I have a claim in progress?
Your claim will continue to be considered and will follow the same process that was applicable prior to the announcement to withdraw this product. For any updates on your current claim, please call us on 13 7202 with your claim number.
When will my policy expire?
If your policy is due for renewal prior to 7 November 2020, you will receive an offer to renew for another 12 months. If your policy is due for renewal after 7 November 2020, your policy will expire at your upcoming renewal date. Prior to your renewal date, you will receive a letter to confirm the date your policy will cease.
Can I still be insured with RACQ after my current policy expires?
Visit our website to see if any of our products are suitable for your needs, however RACQ Enthusiast Insurance will not be available for purchase after 7 November 2020. Alternatively, you can head to Find an Insurer via the Insurance Council of Australia (ICA) or call them on 1300 728 228 to find a provider suited to your needs.

Who can I contact if I want to make a change to my existing policy?
Please call RACQ’s Enthusiast Insurance distributor, Famous Insurance Agency Pty Ltd, on 1300 847 199. Changes that can be made include a change of address or change of driver.
Can I add additional vehicles to my existing policy?
After the 7 November 2020, we will not be offering RACQ Enthusiast Insurance, which means you will not be able to add any new vehicles after this date. You will still be able to complete a change of vehicle on any existing covers if you sell the vehicle that is listed on your policy and you require the same type of cover for the new vehicle.
Will I still be able to take out CAMS cover after 7 November 2020?
While your policy is in effect, you will be able to add CAMS cover as per normal acceptance criteria found on page 47 of the current Product Disclosure Statement (PDS).
Can I cancel my RACQ Enthusiast Insurance policy prior to my renewal date?
Yes, you can. Normal cancellation rules apply as per page 45 of the relevant Product Disclosure Statement (PDS).
Does this impact my membership with RACQ?
If your RACQ Enthusiast Insurance policy is the only eligible product you hold with us, your membership will expire once your policy term ends, however, there are many other ways you can continue your RACQ membership. If you are interested in continuing to access the membership savings, discounts and loyalty rewards, you can view your options or contact us on 13 1905.
If you hold other eligible RACQ products (e.g. Roadside/Home Assistance, Insurance), your membership will continue. You can check which products you hold by logging into your My RACQ account or by calling us on 13 1905.
