RACQ Health Insurance

RACQ Health Insurance will no longer be available for purchase from the 14th of September 2020. All current RACQ Health Insurance members will receive communication notifying them of this change and automatically transitioned to an AIA Health Insurance policy.

RACQ members who hold membership eligible products (e.g. Roadside or Insurance) will soon be able to access AIA Health Insurance discounts through our Show Your Card and Save program.

What is the connection between RACQ Health Insurance and AIA Health Insurance?

RACQ Health Insurance policies were originally issued by MO Health Insurance Pty Ltd. MO Health has recently been re-branded to AIA Health Insurance. Moving forward your policy will be rebranded to AIA Health Insurance. This means that you will be receiving an AIA branded policy and member card. All your existing policy features and benefits will remain unchanged as will the current premium you pay.

If I have an active RACQ Health Insurance policy prior to 12 October 2020, am I still covered?

Your policy remains active and will be re-branded as AIA Health Insurance on 12th October 2020. Our decision to cease selling the RACQ branded Health Insurance policy will not impact any current or future claims for your current period of insurance.

What does the re-branding of RACQ Health Insurance mean if I have a claim in progress?

Your claim will continue to be assessed and will follow the same process that was applicable prior to the announcement to re-brand this product. For any updates on your current claim, please call 1800 333 004 with your claim number.

When will my policy expire?

Your current RACQ Health Insurance policy will not expire. It will be re-branded to AIA Health Insurance on 12 October 2020. All your existing features and benefits under your current RACQ health Insurance policy will remain unchanged as will the current premium you pay.

What happens once my policy is transferred to AIA Health Insurance?

You’ll receive a new AIA Health Insurance membership card that you will need to use moving forward. This will replace your current RACQ Health Insurance card, which will no longer work once your new card has been received. There is nothing else you will need to do.

Who is AIA Health Insurance?

What happens to my AIA Vitality Status?

There will be no change to your current AIA Vitality Points, Status or membership year. When you engage with AIA Vitality you can unlock even more health insurance benefits like 100% refund on hospital excess, extra 10% back on non-dental extras and 5% off your premium. Terms and conditions apply.

If I no longer want my RACQ Health Insurance policy, what do I need to do?

You can cancel your policy if you wish but we encourage first reviewing your cover with us to explore your options, including comparing products from the new AIA Health Insurance range. Please contact AIA Health Insurance on 1800 291 029, 8am to 6pm (AEST), Monday to Friday to discuss.

What happens to my membership with RACQ?

If your RACQ Health Insurance policy is the only eligible product you hold with RACQ, your RACQ membership will expire once your policy switches to AIA Health Insurance or you decide to cancel prior to switching. However, there are many other ways you can continue your RACQ membership. If you are interested in continuing to access the membership savings, discounts and loyalty rewards, contact RACQ on 13 1905.

If you hold other eligible RACQ products (e.g. Roadside/Home Assistance, Insurance or banking products), your membership will continue. You can check which products you hold by logging into your My RACQ account or by calling us on 13 1905.
