The Easter school holidays are just around the corner, so we’ve put together a guide to holiday activities that won’t break the budget.
Splash ‘n’ Play Adventure Park
Just 45 minutes from Brisbane, the state-of-the-art water park and adventure playground includes a giant twisty slide, an elevated rope ‘skywalk’, flying fox and ‘spider’s web’ climbing net.
Younger kids will enjoy the swings, seesaws, butterfly scramble net and spinners.
On a hot day, streams, puddles, spiral sprayers and aqua arches will keep kids of all ages cool.

Daisy Hill Koala Centre
See Australia’s most beloved marsupial up close at Daisy Hill Koala Centre.
Kids will learn about koalas, their lifecycle and habitat through daily presentations by the centre’s Wildlife Officers and interactive displays.

Redcliffe Parkour Park
Blow off some steam at one of Brisbane’s only purpose-built parkour parks. The idea of parkour is to make your way through an area in the quickest and most efficient manner possible.
Older kids will enjoy running, jumping, climbing, rolling and vaulting through 12 different challenges while little kids can feel part of the action by tackling balance beams and running between obstacles.

Queensland Museum
The Queensland Museum at South Bank offers something for both parents and kids:
- Find out how WWI impacted Queensland and see Mephisto, the only tank of its kind in the world at the ANZAC Legacy Gallery.
- Discover the history of rocket science and space flight at the NASA – A Human Adventure exhibit.
- Explore how science, technology, engineering and maths affect your everyday world at SparkLab Sciencentre.
Cost: Anzac Legacy Gallery and Discovery Centre: free, SparkLab: $12.50 per child, NASA exhibit: $12 per child.
Zone Bowling
Challenge your kids to beat your high score at a game of bowling or the classic arcade games at Zone Bowling.
The Loganholme, Garden City and Robina Zone locations also offer laser tag.

Maleny Dairies
Take a Maleny Dairies farm tour find out how milk is produced and to taste milk directly from the udder.
Kids will be udder-ly delighted to help bottle feed baby cows, cuddle up to chickens and other farm animals and watch the herd of Guernsey cows be milked.
Cost: $11 per person.
