Give your pet a treat using your smartphone

Technology is transforming every part of our lives and pet lovers are at the forefront of investing in gadgets. The latest innovation is a dispenser that allows you to give your pet a treat using your smartphone. You can watch your pet as they catch it or pick it up.

It’s an App called Pet Cube Bites and it’s a US invention which lets you monitor your pet via a camera, talk to them and reward them by flinging them a treat.

Just swipe your smartphone screen and the treat will be delivered up to two metres through the air from the dispenser. The container can hold roughly a kilogram of treats, so you won’t run out during the day. The app notifies you when the treats are getting low within the dispenser.

The dispenser is easy to fill and takes treats up to 2.5cm in length, so you have options to change the treats as you see fit. The dispenser is dishwasher-safe, so it is easy to clean.

The Pet Cube has an inbuilt two-way speaker and microphone, so you can talk to and hear your pet from your phone.

By placing the Pet Cube cameras around your home, you can keep an eye on your pet, as well as set up alerts if there is activity in a specific location. You can then video or photograph your pet and share favourite moments or images on social media.

It’s a great way to keep an eye on your pet when you are away from home.
