Good Food & Wine Show

Expect a culinary adventure at the Good Food & Wine Show.

The Good Food & Wine Show is a three-day gastronomic adventure held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, South Brisbane, from 26-28 October.

More than 100 exhibitors will fill the centre, mixing old favourites along with new tastes that you’ll be able to sample.

This year, there will be double trouble with celebrity chefs teaming up with their favourite friends to present a wide selection of tasty treats. In the Princess Cruises Theatre, you’ll find Australian food icons Matt Moran and Maggie Beer showing you how to create a great Aussie BBQ, with a spotlight on Matt’s prawns and the perfect BBQ beef. Another bonus is Maggie’s much-loved pavlova, which she believes anyone can make.

Imagine double the energy and enthusiasm of Miguel Maestre – that’s what you’ll get when Miguel and his brother Carlos create the perfect Sunday feast.

Watch culinary couple Darren Robertson and Magdalena Roze put together a recipe with a focus on whole ingredients. It’s all stalks and roots!

Alastair McLeod and Matt Golinski’s session will combine their two favourite pastimes, cooking and eating, to a soundtrack of fun Beatles hits. Their menu includes Murray cod with cumin labneh, bauple nuts and mint.

There’s also slow-roasted Rhodavale pork belly, Tin Can Bay scallops, fennel soubise, green olive tapenade and burnt orange vinaigrette. It finishes with a dessert of honey curd, chilli chocolate honeycomb and crème fraiche.

For a special treat, try the Good Food & Wine Show VIP Experience. On this ticket you will be able to enjoy the Good Food & Wine Show with a glass of wine in hand in the luxurious Cape Mentelle VIP Lounge and be entertained by celebrity chefs as they demonstrate their recipes live on stage. You can indulge in complimentary Cape Mentelle wines all day, enjoy a lunch designed by Matt Moran and a delicious dessert by Maggie Beer, all in the lounge.

There’s more to the show than watching and eating. Try your hand at whipping up a cocktail in the After Hours Cocktail Workshop or test your palate at a Wine Selectors Cellar Door Session.
