Holden’s first fully-imported Commodore is here and now

Holden’s fifth generation Commodore – the first of its kind to be fully imported – hits Australian showrooms.

Holden’s fifth generation Commodore – the first of its kind to be fully imported – is set to hit Australian showrooms before the month’s out.

Built in Rüsselsheim, Germany, on GM’s all-new E2 architecture, the 2018 ZB model is a globally developed vehicle, but comes to market with Holden DNA deeply ingrained.

There are three body shapes (Liftback, Sportwagon and high-riding Tourer) and six trim levels (LT, RS, Calais, RS-V, Calais-V and VXR).

Powering the front-wheel-drive LT, RS and Calais is a 191kW/350Nm, 2.0-litre turbo petrol inline four-cylinder engine, while a 235kW/381Nm, 3.6-litre V6 motor-vates the all-wheel-drive RS, RS-V, Calais-V, VXR, Calais Tourer and Calais-V Tourer. Transmission for both engines is a new 9-speed auto. A 125kW/400Nm, 2.0-litre turbo diesel – mated with an 8-speed auto – is available in front-wheel-drive LT and Calais only.

The ZB boasts a long list of firsts (not available on all trim levels) for a Commodore, including:

Servicing costs (12 month/12,000km intervals) range from $259-359 for the petrol engine variants to $259-399 for diesel engine variants. An ANCAP five-star safety rating applies across the range.
