All of the bakeries listed below are Gold winners at the 2018 Great Aussie Pie & Sausage Roll Competition –the biggest bakery event on the calendar.
Beefys, Kunda Park
Awarded for their Chunky Plain Meat Pie.
Chunky Pies, Aitkenvale
Awarded for their Gourmet Salmon and Creamy Blue Cheese Pie.
Mayfield Patisseries and Chocolates, Montville
Awarded for their Mince Chicken Mushroom and Cheese Sauce Gourmet Roll, Mince Turkey Gourmet Roll, Lamb Spinach and Feta Gourmet Roll and Mince Sausage Roll.
Mossman Bakery, Port Douglas
Awarded for their Gourmet Chicken and Camembert Pie and Pepper and Steak Pie.
Wangan Bakery, Wangan
Awarded for their Gourmet Pizza, Dynamite Hot Chilli, Mushroom and Curry Pies.
Each year more than 1500 bakeries enter the competition in the hope of claiming a gold title.
Entries are now open for the 2019 Great Aussie Pie & Sausage Roll Competition which will run from 9-12 September at Fine Food Australia in Sydney.
This year’s competition will host a new category, the Official Great Aussie BBQ Challenge, which will showcase slow cooked brisket pies.
