Brisbane to Woodford, 86km

Escape the highway traffic and explore the back roads to Mount Mee via the inland hill route. Here you will see glimpses of Cedar Creek, Dayboro and the D’Aguilar National Park. Stretch your legs at the Dahmongah Lookout and capture the magnificent views of the Glasshouse Mountains. Go for a picturesque bushwalk or veer off road on one of the many 4WD tracks (if you have a 4WD). There are plenty of places to grab a coffee and take some photos.

Just 10 minutes’ drive north is the village of Woodford. A little further north of the village is the site of the renowned Woodford Folk Festival, held every Christmas-New Year week. If you love history, a chilled environment and nature, Woodford is a good place to stop. Visit the Australian Narrow Gauge Railway Museum Society, the window of the Woodford Water Tower, Memorial Park or Stony Creek.

Woodford to Maleny, 38km

(via Kilcoy Beerwah Rd/State Route 6 and Maleny Stanley River Rd)

Travel through the scenic route past Bellthorpe State Forest towards Maleny, a charming town known for its dairy produce and wineries. Take a stroll along Maple Street where you will find cafes, art galleries and organic produce for sale. Enter The Big Barrel, home to Maleny Mountain Wines and Macleod Brewing Company for a cold drink and soak up the views. No visit to Maleny is complete without a visit to the Baroon Pocket Dam. The dam is a magnet for outdoor enthusiasts offering kayaking, picnic areas and playgrounds for kids.

Maleny to Montville, 15km

(via Maleny - Montville Rd)

A 15-minute drive from Maleny is sister town – Montville. This is the perfect place to shop, as its main street is filled with boutiques and restaurants. In town, check out Montville’s Chapel, a very popular location for weddings. For a spot of nature, venture off to the Kondalilla Falls to embark on scenic walks through the Kondalilla National Park rainforest, where you’ll see rock pools and a 90-metre waterfall.
