Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary:
National Trust Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary has been certified as an Advanced Eco Tourism operator since 2008 and Respecting our Culture since 2012. Established in 1947 as one of the original Gold Coast tourist attractions, a not-for-profit organisation, we are home to over 1,000 animals and 13 shows daily including indigenous dance performances. We welcome 600,000 guests annually and are situated on 27 hectares of sub-tropical rainforest and bushland. Some highlights include the iconic rainbow lorikeet feeding, koala nursery, kangaroo paddock, Wild Skies Free Flight Bird Show, Lost Valley exotic wildlife precinct, all new Gruffalo Augmented Reality Trail, Indigenous Dance & Culture Show, home of Blinky Bill.
We participate in 16 conservation/research programs and are home to Currumbin Wildlife Hospital treating over 11,000 wildlife patients yearly making it one of the busiest wildlife hospitals in the world.
