Child Restraints
Buying a suitable car seat is one of the most important purchases when it comes to your child/children, yet it can be one of the hardest.
Whether you are travelling long distances or just popping down to the corner store, it is important to ensure your child or the child or children you are caring for are secured in the correct child restraint for their age and size.
Statistics from the Department of Transport and Main Roads show that in the period of 2000 to 2009, 34 unrestrained children aged 0 to 16 years died in car crashes in Queensland (where restraint use is known). Eight of these children aged between 0 -4 years, nine were aged 5 - 11 years and seventeen were aged 12 - 16 years.
Ensuring that children are restrained correctly will help Queenslanders to avoid adding to these statistics.
