Independent Review of Commonwealth Disaster Funding
Queensland (and Australia) has suffered from a chronic underinvestment in disaster mitigation and climate resilience. It is encouraging to see different levels of government start to work together on tackling the growing disaster risk, but we have a long way to go in better protecting vulnerable communities.
RACQ firmly believes that protecting vulnerable communities and safeguarding them against the growing threat of climate change is a key role of government and disaster funding.
