We exist for Queenslanders
RACQ has proudly served Queenslanders for over 115 years. As a mutual organisation, RACQ is Queensland’s largest club with 1.7 million members.RACQ’s purpose is to make a positive difference to the lives of our members now and into the future.
The club was first formed to advocate for motorists and improve road safety. Our early members’ valuable contributions to the community through World War 1 were officially recognised by George V when he approved the use of “Royal” title in the club’s name in 1921.
RACQ now helps Queenslanders with insurance, roadside and home assistance, travel, banking, and a variety of products and services.
The club plays an active role in the Queensland community through our advocacy efforts, the RACQ Air Rescue Network, disaster relief from RACQ Foundation, and grassroot support through our local sponsorships and school education programs.
In 2021, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young PSM Governor of Queensland, became a vice-regal patron of RACQ. This patronage acknowledges the positive difference RACQ continues to make in Queensland.
At RACQ, everything we do is to improve the lives of our members and make Queensland a better, brighter place to call home.
Alongside our members, RACQ is looking to the future, knowing sustainability will be key for our members in every facet of their lives in the decades to come. Helping our communities become more resilient and supporting our members through this transition is core to our 2030 strategic vision.
Membership really does make all the difference.
