How to make your RACQ Home Insurance claim

    Keep safe

    Are you experiencing an emergency or is someone hurt? Call 000 first.

    If there’s an emergency threatening to damage your home, please call the SES on 13 2500.

    Read through your policy documents to understand what you’re covered for:

    Gather your documents

    To help us process your RACQ Home Insurance claim as quickly as we can, have the following information handy when you call or start your claim online: 

    • Your policy number (you can find this in the 'My Product Overview' page when you log in to My RACQ, or on your policy documents) 
    • The date and details of the incident 
    • A police report number (for lost or stolen items) 
    • Details of any damaged, lost, or stolen items 
    • Proof of ownership of any damaged or stolen property (e.g., receipts, invoices, or photographs) 
    • Any damage report or quote for repairs already received
    • Contact details of any witnesses or others involved
    • Any invoices you've already paid
    • A small sample of any damaged contents you believe are creating a health hazard

    Submit your home insurance claim in the way most convenient to you:

    Online

    The fastest option is to fill out our online claims form.  

    Phone

    If you’d like our help when submitting your claim, call 13 7202 and we'll talk you through making your RACQ Home Insurance claim. 

    In-store

    Visit your local RACQ store with all the required documentation and we’ll submit your claim on your behalf. 

  • Leave it with us

    We’ll process your claim as quickly as possible.  

    You may need to have an onsite assessment done. If so, we’ll contact you to arrange an assessor and/or building consultant to visit your home.  If you have your own quote, please let us know when you make your claim. 

    Once your loss has been assessed and your claim accepted, we may authorise repairs and/or the replacement of your items through our preferred suppliers.
