Whether you are wanting to devour as much bacon ice-cream or bacon fries as your heart desires or hoping to learn how to up your home-cooked breakfast game, the Kingaroy BaconFest is back in 2022 to help you celebrate all things pork.

From 19–21 August, Kingaroy is putting Australian pork on centre stage with an event schedule packed full of activities, local producers as well as live cooking demonstrations by celebrity chef Miguel Maestre and Queensland foodie Matt Golinski.

After postponements of the event for the past two years due to COVID-19 restrictions, organisers are looking forward to welcoming visitors back to the South Burnett region and are expecting more than 8,000 attendees for its much-anticipated return.

While this meat eater’s haven will include bacon eating competitions, a two-day bacon-themed food market as well as the infamous SunPork Barbecue Alliance Smoke-Off Competition, there will also be a host of fun activities on offer for those who have filled their bacon quota after the first day.

Some of the other must-see events include the opening-night Wine & Swine event, the Rasher’s Rush cycling race on Saturday morning and the Miss BaconFest pin-up pageant.

Tickets for the event also include a host of live music acts and are on sale here, starting from just $6.
