Does RACQ send payment links via SMS?

Yes. RACQ may send you a payment link by SMS, but only while you’re on the phone with one of our consultants and you’ve agreed to receive it.

The link allows you to securely complete your payment on your own device without sharing card details out loud.

We’ll never send an unsolicited payment link. If you receive one unexpectedly, don’t proceed and contact us immediately on 13 1905.

How it works

  • During your call, the consultant will ask if you’d like to receive a secure payment link
  • If you agree, we’ll send a unique, secure link via SMS
  • You’ll open the link and complete your payment on a secure payment page
  • Stay on the call while your consultant confirms the payment

How to know it’s genuine

A genuine RACQ payment link will:

  • Only be sent while you’re on the phone with one of our consultants
  • Be sent after you’ve agreed to receive it
  • Take you to a secure payment page

RACQ will never send unsolicited payment links or ask you to provide payment details by SMS or email.

If you receive a payment link and feel unsure, don’t proceed and contact us on 13 1905.
