Recruitment for new RACQ directors is underway
The two positions will form part of a diverse board currently comprising six elected directors and two appointed directors, and the Managing Director and Group CEO who is accountable to the board for the day-to-day management of RACQ’s operations.
The board is seeking candidates with experience and skills relevant to RACQ’s businesses and strategic priorities, including the future of mobility, membership, data and digital, and strategic partnerships.
Group Company Secretary Matthew Payten said it was an exciting time for RACQ as it worked towards its 2032 vision - to be the trusted partner for its members, providing solutions to help them move and live safely, securely and sustainably.
“The role of our directors is to oversee and guide management with the aim of protecting and enhancing long-term member value by utilising their skills, experience and knowledge in accordance with their director duties,” Mr Payten said.
“With the upcoming retirement of two directors, this creates a unique opportunity for two highly skilled candidates with former board or senior executive experience to join the RACQ board.”
Mr Payten said the director roles required strategic thinkers with strong capabilities in monitoring financial and non-financial performance and corporate governance, and with expertise aligned to one or more of the key selection criteria.
