Club spokesperson Lauren Ritchie said from 22 February 2021 parking meters would only accept contactless payments.

“If you’re visiting anywhere in the Brisbane City Council area you’ll no longer be able to use your loose change to pay for on-street parking,” Ms Ritchie said.

“Drivers will instead need to use Tap n’ Go, their debit or credit cards or they can use the CellOPark Australia app.

“We encourage drivers to double check signage and make sure they always have a card or charged phone with them so they’re able to pay for their parking.”
