Gold Coast motorists be aware of road closures

RACQ is reminding Gold Coast motorists and public transport users to be aware of road closures that will be in place this weekend for the Gold Coast Marathon.
Club spokesperson Lauren Cooney said roads would be impacted from Paradise Point to Burleigh Heads on Saturday and Sunday.
“Roads will be closed from 3:30am on Saturday morning and will progressively reopen as the events are completed. All roads are scheduled to be reopened by midday that day,” Ms Cooney said.
“On Sunday morning, closures will start again at the 3:30am will be in place until 2pm.
“Motorists can expect congestion and traffic delays in the vicinity of the event throughout the weekend, so if you’re in the area make sure you plan your journey accordingly.”
