Things to note

Insurance Products (excluding Travel Insurance) are issued by RACQ Insurance Limited ABN 50 009 704 152 (RACQI) and arranged by its agent, RACQ Distribution Services Pty Ltd (RDS) ABN 35 116 361 650, AFSL 567130 and RDS' authorised representatives (including RACQ Operations Pty Ltd ABN 80 009 663 414, AR No. 234978 (RACQO). Conditions, limits and exclusions apply. RDS and RACQO are in the RACQ group of companies. One of the companies in the RACQ group of companies has a minority shareholding in RACQI.

RDS and RACQO have not taken your personal objectives, circumstances or needs into account when preparing advice regarding insurance products and you will need to consider whether the advice is appropriate for you. Read the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) and any applicable Supplementary PDS before making a purchase decision on this product. You can also access our Target Market Determinations on this website. RDS receives a commission from RACQI for the policies it arranges. RACQO receives fees paid for services it provides to RDS. Further details about remuneration are available on request prior to purchasing.

We don’t apply any premium discounts to any government statutory charges such as GST and Stamp Duty nor to the portion of your premium which relates to payment frequency. Discounts may also not apply to the portion of your premium associated with optional benefits or your decision to adjust your excess amount. Read the applicable PDS and SPDS for further information regarding RACQ’s insurance discounts.

Your insurance policy or cover will be assessed for premium discount or member benefit eligibility at the time of a new application. If you decide to take out an additional policy or cover mid-term, and it meets our criteria for eligibility, the premium discount or member benefit will only apply on this newly added policy or cover. The remainder of your existing policies or covers will be assessed for premium discount or member benefit eligibility at the time of renewal.

¹Online discount
The online discount will be applied and deducted on the total annual premium amount payable on your new policy. Excludes pay later option and any policy renewals. Discount amounts may be pro-rated for cover of less than 12 months. Policies effective before 9 December 2024, maximum of 4 pets/$200 discount per policy.  

²Multi policy discount
The multi policy discount is only available if any policyholder has three or more of the following policies:  

• Comprehensive Car Insurance 
• Fire, Theft and Third Party Liability Car Insurance / Fire, Theft and Third Party Car Insurance
• Third Party Liability Car Insurance / Third Party Property Damage Insurance
• Motorcycle Insurance 
• Comprehensive Caravan and Trailer Insurance 
• Home and/or Contents Insurance 
• Pet Insurance 
• Comprehensive Boat Insurance 
• Third Party Liability Boat Insurance

⁴No claim discount

Motor insurance (including car, motorbike, caravan and trailer)
The no claim discount amount you are offered for motor vehicle, caravan and trailer insurance is based on:  

• the number of at fault claims the primary driver has had in the last three (3) years; and 
• the number of years the primary driver has held a driver licence (excluding the time on a learner licence). 

You qualify for a Rating 1 for life if you:

• have a comprehensive car insurance policy; and 
• don’t have any at fault claims for 12 months while you are a Rating 1 with 60% no claim discount. 

Once you have a Rating 1 for life, we won’t reduce your no claim discount if you make an at fault claim. However, any claim or incident may affect the terms that apply to your policy at your next renewal (including your premium or excess). 

Boat insurance
The no claim discount amount you are offered is based on:

• the number of at fault claims the insured has had in the last three (3) years; and
• the number of years the insured has held boat insurance in the last three (3) years.

Household insurance
The household no claim discount is offered if you haven't made a claim in the last 12 months.

⁶Home combined discount
The combined discount is only available if you are the owner-occupier and take out a combined Home and Contents Insurance policy.

⁸Home Alarm discount
This discount applies if you have a home alarm that is monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by a monitoring facility. This discount does not apply to the additional premiums associated with the Items Away from Home optional benefit. 

⁹Driver excellence bonus
The driver excellence bonus is based on the primary driver holding a Rating 1 continuously for the last five years or more. 

Roadside assistance loyalty discount
¹³Loyalty benefits do not apply to business members. Refer to Membership Terms and Conditions.
¹⁴Excludes Compulsory Third Party (CTP) Insurance, and Fleet and Small Business Insurance.

*Gold and Gold50 Comprehensive Car Insurance discount includes no claim discount protection at no extra cost. Only applies to your first at fault claim during the period of insurance. Conditions apply for Rating 1 No claim discount protection.

^Gold50 Comprehensive Car Insurance discount includes additional hire car at no extra cost. Incidental costs associated to hire car e.g., petrol, will still apply.
