RACQ board nominations sought
Nominations have opened for candidates for election to the RACQ board to represent either regional or South East Queensland.

As Queensland’s largest club, RACQ operates a multi-million-dollar business in a range of complex and highly regulated industries.
Members with the appropriate skills and experience to direct and govern RACQ are to contact the Group Company Secretary, Matthew Payten, for information on the nomination and election process. Mr Payten can be contacted by emailing group.secretariat@racq.com.au.
All nominations are to be made in writing, on the relevant form.
The deadline for submission of completed nomination forms is on or before 5pm (AEST) Wednesday 28 May 2025.
As part of the nomination process, members must agree to any usual or necessary application checks and provide any information reasonably requested by the Group Company Secretary.
A copy of the constitution of RACQ is available on RACQ’s website. This document details the requirements for eligibility to nominate including the below requirements:
- A candidate must, when nominating, be an eligible, financial member of RACQ.
- A candidate must be a resident in the area they seek to represent both at the time of nominating and at the time of the board election.
- A candidate must not be ineligible under clause 9.11 of the constitution of RACQ.
In addition, a range of selection criteria will be applied by the board when determining the eligibility of a nominee to stand for election.
Candidates should also note that if they are successfully elected to the RACQ board, they will be required to join the boards of material operating subsidiary companies. This requires undergoing a fit and proper assessment that meets regulatory requirements.
Two board positions are available for election in south east Queensland and one board position is available for election in regional Queensland. The incumbent directors have indicated their intention to re-nominate.
South East Queensland is defined by the following Australia Post postcodes: 4000-4347, 4352, 4500- 4569, 4571-4575, 9000-9023, 9464, 9726, 9728 and 9729. Regional Queensland is defined as the area of Queensland that is not South East Queensland.
