RACQ Road Safety Education Team’s Child Safe Statement of Commitment

RACQ Road Safety Education commits to the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of every child. Children’s safety comes first in every lesson. In the teaching of our road safety programs, we:

  • provide a positive, safe and respectful environment for young people
  • support the Queensland Child Safe Organisations Standards, ensuring that the voice, rights and safety of young people is a priority
  • have zero tolerance for any abuse or harmful conduct
  • are committed to promoting cultural safety for Aboriginal and Torres Strait children, and children from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds, and to providing a safe environment for children with a disability
  • educate our staff on how to be child safe, always acting in the best interests of young people, and responding appropriately to any harm that is witnessed or reported

RACQ Road Safety Education have a number of policies related to the way we safeguard children during the teaching of our programs. These policies, Road Safety Child Safety and Wellbeing, Road Safety Code of Conduct and Road Safety Complaints Policy are all available on request by emailing childsafe@racq.com.au.
