The fun, atmosphere and excitement of RACQ MotorFest returns on Sunday 13 June 2021, 10am-3pm, after a hiatus in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The event will be held at the iconic Brisbane Showgrounds, and as always it promises to have something for everyone.
In 2021, all the family favourites will return, including roving entertainment, market stalls, kids’ rides, food stalls and an array of wonderful prestige, vintage, unique and collector vehicles, as well as the latest in vehicle and transport technology. Your $2 entry fee will once again be contributed to RACQ Foundation, to enable its ongoing support of Queensland communities impacted by natural disaster.

We are excited to introduce a new feature at this year’s event – the Future Zone.
Step into the future and explore electric, hybrid, and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles,; electric motorcycles, e-scooters and e-bikes,; home EV chargers, EV conversions, road safety technology and an autonomous, driverless vehicle dedicated to research. Showcasing the many and varied new propulsion technologies on offer, the Future Zone introduces advancements in mobility from:

Getting to the event
The entry gates for MotorFest 2021 are located at Brisbane Showgrounds Gate 5 (O’Connell Terrace) and Brisbane Showgrounds Gate 6 (Bowen Bridge Road). Click to view the event map.
Access from Gregory Terrace will be available by walking through the Brisbane Showgrounds to the Gate 5 entrance.
Bowen Hills and Fortitude Valley train stations are less than a 10-minute walk from the Brisbane Showgrounds. For further information visit the TransLink website or phone 13 12 30.
Buses service the streets surrounding the Brisbane Showgrounds regularly. The main bus stops are located on Bowen Bridge Road outside The Old Museum and on St Pauls Terrace near King Street. For further information visit the TransLink website or phone 13 12 30.
There are three paid undercover parking facilities within the Brisbane Showgrounds. These are located on Gregory Terrace, O'Connell Terrace and King Street. What other attractions are on offer other than the vehicle displays?
There’s something on offer for the whole family at MotorFest, with free amusement rides and face painting for the kids, RACQ and Partner Trade Stalls offering competitions and giveaways and Love Handmade Markets.
What is Love Handmade Markets?
A not to be missed showcase of locally made goods, Love Handmade Markets is well worth a visit, located in the small marquee. Janmaree Lowe has curated 25 stalls featuring contemporary artists, who handmake their wares in Brisbane. For more information about Love Handmade Markets, visit: www.love-handmade.com.au.
If I arrive prior to 10am will I be able to enter the event?
No, gates open at 10am and you will be unable to enter the grounds prior to this time due to vehicle movement.
Can I bring alcohol to MotorFest?
No, MotorFest is an alcohol and smoke free event.
Can I bring my pet to MotorFest?
No, companion pets are not permitted at MotorFest. However, assistance dogs will be accepted.
Do I need to pre-purchase tickets to come to MotorFest?
No, entry is just $2 per person, with kids under three free. Contactless payments are preferred for hygiene purposes. The gate takings are contributed to RACQ Foundation to help it continue to support Queensland communities impacted by natural disasters.
Will I be able to make RACQ Membership / Insurance / Banking enquiries and purchases at MotorFest?
Yes, please visit the RACQ Mobile Member Centre for all your membership and product-related enquiries. The team will be located in sideshow alley. We will also have specialist RACQ stalls on site showcasing our Bank, Archives, Autoglass, Towing & Incident Management and Foundation services.
Will Motorfest be cancelled in the event of wet weather?
If in the days prior the weather is severe enough to post a risk to attendees or organisers, we may need to cancel the event. Should MotorFest 2021 be cancelled due to inclement weather or for another reason, notification will be broadcast on commercial radio stations and will be posted on RACQ’s website and our MotorFest Facebook Event Page.
2021 Vehicle Exhibitor Registration - Closed
Vehicle registrations for the 2021 event have reached capacity and are now closed.
If you would like to register your details to receive information on the 2022 event, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you have already registered your vehicle for display in this year’s event, you will receive your Exhibitor Information Pack in the mail a couple weeks before the event.
2021 Food and Beverage Vendors
All food and beverage will be managed directly by the Brisbane Showgrounds. If you would like further information, you can contact them directly at email@example.com.
COVID Safe Event
For the safety of our community, there will be increased COVID safe hygiene measures in place at the event. All event attendees will be required to check in on arrival and provide up to date information for contact tracing purposes. Follow directions of event staff and signage at all times and please use the hand sanitiser available throughout the event site.
To assist our staff and to make sure you contribute to the protection of the health and wellbeing of attendees, please observe the following while enjoying MotorFest:
- Observe social distancing at all times and avoid close contact with other people not in your household group
- Make sure you’re practicing good hand hygiene – hand washing stations and hand sanitising stations are available throughout the venue
- Cover your coughs and sneezes with your elbow
- Contactless payments are preferred
- Stay home if you are feeling unwell or showing symptoms of COVID-19
- Stay home if you have been overseas or to a COVID-19 hotspot in the last 14 days, or if you have been in contact with someone who has been overseas or to a COVID-19 hotspot in the last 14 days.
