Glenn Toms is the Acting Group Chief Executive Officer of RACQ (The Royal Automobile Club of Queensland Limited). He will lead the Group Executive and RACQ in the transitional period before the new Group CEO, David Carter, joins the organisation in early 2020. During the first three months of 2020, Glenn’s focus will be to work with the Board and the Group Executive in the development of the FY21 strategic plan and budget, with the intention that these important pieces of work are complete before the commencement of the new Group CEO.

Glenn’s nominal role is the Chief Executive Officer Assistance, with responsibility for the broader Assistance and Lifestyle businesses at RACQ. Over the coming months, he will continue to support the Assistance executive team to ensure this business line runs smoothly while he is in the Acting Group CEO role. Glenn leads a large team that provides members with a diverse range of core products including roadside assistance, home assistance, motoring, travel agency, lifestyle, recovery and incident management businesses. He is responsible for the 24/7 operations of RACQ and a range of commercial motoring businesses. This is achieved through an extensive network of staff, contractors, call centres and physical infrastructure across the state providing all in-field services to members and a range of commercial clients. He has 30 years’ extensive commercial experience in assistance, operations and logistics. He is Chairman of RACQ Autoglass Pty Ltd, a Director of Australian Club Consortium Pty Ltd, ACC CAD Pty Ltd, Members Travel Group Pty Ltd and Club Assist Corporation Pty Ltd. Glenn is also Chairman of the Corporate Advisory Board for the Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors.

Michelle has over twenty years’ experience in financial services in Australia and internationally. Her experience spans leading customer and business strategy, delivery of major corporate projects, credit risk, regional sales leadership of large customer facing teams and call centres. She has held P&L accountability, product development and pricing strategy. She has a strong track record in building new organisational capability through partnership, technology and digital development. Michelle has worked across SME and retail banking, in both direct and indirect channels, corporate banking and financial markets, relationship banking, general insurance and asset finance. She has previously held an Executive Director position on the Board of a superannuation trustee. Prior to RACQ Michelle held senior positions across Suncorp, National Australia Bank (NAB), The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) and Insurance Australia Group (IAG). She is a member of FINSIA, a graduate of AICD and has completed both a Bachelor of Business and a MBA (with Distinction).


Greg Booker Greg Booker


Chief Information Officer

Greg has over 30 years in the technology industry in a career that has spanned the globe and encompassed working as a Supplier and a Customer. A financial services specialist he has implemented core system replacements in Asia, the UK, and the United States and has worked on 13 different Financial Services M&A activities. From an early career in Australian Financial services Greg joined IBM and spent a number of years travelling the world as a Financial Services specialist with his highlight being the lead architect in the growth of a fledgling Minnesota based First Bank systems into the 5th largest bank in the United States, US Bancorp. Since 2000 Greg has worked largely within Australia filling General management and CIO roles at St George Bank, ING Australia, ANZ Bank, and now most recently at RACQ. Greg has a Masters of Management, an MBA, and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Group Company Secretary

Brad is company secretary for all the legal entities within the RACQ Group and heads the Group Secretariat with responsibility for group-wide corporate governance matters, including managing all matters associated with the efficient and effective operation of the various boards and committees and of each annual general meeting. Brad is a chartered company secretary and governance professional with more than 20 years’ experience in senior management and similar governance roles in both private enterprise and the public sector across a range of industries.

Tracy Green Tracy Green

Acting Chief Executive Officer, RACQ Insurance

Tracy Green joined RACQ in February 2018 as General Manager Insurance Product and Pricing before becoming Acting CEO Insurance in July 2019. She has more than 25 years’ experience in general insurance, having held executive position across multiple functions in the value chain including, portfolio management, product and pricing innovation, claims management and distribution. Prior to joining RACQ, Tracy held executive positions at IAG, Suncorp and TIO.

Tracy is a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance, Certified Insurance Professional (CIP) and has a Bachelor of Commerce.

Darryn Hammond Darryn Hammond

Chief Risk Officer and General Counsel

Darryn is responsible for the legal, risk management, compliance, workplace health and safety, and internal audit areas of the Group. He is a practising solicitor and chartered company secretary who joined RACQ in 2009, with significant corporate and commercial experience. Prior to his appointment he worked with a national law firm and has held senior roles both locally and overseas.

Group Chief Financial Officer

As Group Chief Financial Officer, Michael is responsible for managing RACQ’s overall financial position and reporting on financial performance across the Group. This includes management, financial and regulatory reporting, budget and financial forecasts and taxation compliance. Michael oversees the management of the Group’s investment portfolios and is responsible for the management of Group property activities. Michael joined the RACQ Group in 2002 as Financial Controller for RACQ Insurance before being appointed to Chief Financial Officer – RACQ Insurance in August 2007. Prior to joining RACQ Insurance, Michael held accounting and financial management roles across a number of industries including sports management and construction.

Chief People Officer

As Chief People Officer, Heidi oversees the strategic human resource direction across the RACQ Group. With a HR career spanning more than 25 years and multiple industry sectors, Heidi is experienced in aligning people practices to organisational culture values and business strategy. Heidi’s areas of responsibilities include organisational development, learning and development, human resources, compensation and benefits, and industrial relations. Heidi is an internationally-experienced and industry-recognised human resources and corporate shared services executive with a track record in business transformation and people performance.

Paul Turner Paul Turner


Chief Communications Officer

Paul is responsible for ensuring the interests of 1.7 million Queensland motorists and their families are promoted and protected through constructive engagement and effective communication with governments, industry, media, other road user groups, and the wider community. This includes responsibility for The Road Ahead magazine, media and government relations, public and safety policy and community sponsorship and education. Paul has a wealth of experience spanning over 30 years in private organisations and government and is a Director Life Flight Queensland.

Chief Sales and Marketing Officer

Chris heads up the Sales and Marketing group function overseeing the planning, development and execution of RACQ’s marketing strategy, providing group wide analytics and actuarial services and providing sales and distribution services to the business while delivering a differentiated personal service to members through the Queensland based call centres and the branch network throughout the State.
