Why planning matters

RACQ Travel Product Lead Andrea Grajczonek agreed that careful planning was crucial for a relaxing holiday experience.

“Whether you’re staying in Queensland, heading interstate, or venturing overseas, a little research and early bookings go a long way," Ms Grajczonek said.

"The excitement of planning – securing cheap flights, choosing the best accommodations, and discovering must-visit attractions – can be part of the fun."

Ms Grajczonek added exploring appropriate travel insurance was an essential part of holiday planning.

"Travel insurance isn’t just an optional extra; it can provide financial and practical support if things go wrong,” Ms Grajczonek said.

“Without it, an unexpected event could derail your holiday plans and impact you and your family’s finances."
