More than 817,000 Queensland homes have embraced clean energy by installing rooftop solar panels* and now it’s easier than ever for RACQ members to reduce their electricity bills through rooftop solar systems.

RACQ Bank’s Danica Allan said RACQ could help members access the environmental and financial benefits of clean energy through an RACQ Bank Green Home Loan.

“Our members have told us that renewable energy is important to them, so we’ve introduced a Green Home Loan to help RACQ Bank mortgage holders purchase and install clean energy devices in their homes,” Ms Allan said.

“The Green Home Loan can be used to purchase solar panels, battery packs, solar or heat pump hot water systems and electric vehicle charging stations and have a much lower interest rate compared to personal loans and home loans products.”

Ms Allan said the Green Home Loan could only be used to purchase products from accredited Clean Energy Council retailers and installers.

“By ensuring retailers and installers are accredited we’re helping to ensure members pay a fair price for a quality product,” she said.
