From Thursday 25 July to Sunday 28 July, Childers Festival offers plenty to see and do, and many areas to discover and explore when you plan your stay in the Bundaberg region.

Childers welcomes more than 30,000 visitors each year to this iconic festival which transforms the highway into a vibrant, gigantic food, market and entertainment hub, with a record number of stalls this year.

The festival is staged between the classic heritage-listed buildings and leopard-tree-lined streets and only a short drive west of Bundaberg or about a four-hour trip north of Brisbane.

Four days of uniquely Childers events launch with a Twilight Market on Thursday and culminate with Sunday’s festival day of endless market stalls and stages of non-stop live music.

Crescent Street will come alive in a carnival of colour and movement on Saturday afternoon, with the tantalising tastes and rich sounds of Bollywood for a family-friendly celebration of all things Indian.

Hosted by Australian TV personality and Bollywood star Tania Zaetta, experience the magic and puppetry of lifelike Eesha Elephant, and yoga and henna workshops while Dance Masala, DJ Desi and Sonalisa Mishra take to the stage.

Building up to the main event on Sunday, when the streets will be jam-packed with hundreds of market stalls, non-stop music across multiple stages headlined by Dragon, Bondi Cigars and Murphy’s Pigs, and a smorgasbord selection of food from across the globe.

If visiting during Childers Festival be sure to soak up the region’s tranquil atmosphere with additional ticketed events, including a performance by Mark Vincent at this year's Opera by the Lake, plus Picnic in the Vines and Sugar Mill and Cane Fire Tours, on sale Monday 27 May.
