Register for RACQ's Electric Vehicle Test Drive Day

Looking to purchase an electric vehicle (EV), hybrid or new-to-market vehicle?

Join us at the RACQ Mobility Centre on Sunday 12 October where you’ll have the opportunity to test drive up to three vehicles across a range of makes and models and learn the basics of electric vehicle functions and ownership from our on-site experts.

Session Times*

  • 1st Session: 9:00am to 11:00am
  • 2nd Session: 11:30am to 1:30pm
  • 3rd Session: 2:00pm to 4:00pm

*Registration opens 30 minutes prior to the session start time, please arrive with adequate time to complete your registration.

Session Capacity

Sessions will be capped to allow for participants to test drive multiple vehicles.

Vehicles

There will be vehicles available to test drive from BYD, Leapmotor, Toyota, Tesla, Smart Mercedes and Subaru. Vehicles are subject to change.

Registration

If you’re an RACQ member, you can register for your preferred session time below. Drivers must be over 25 and hold a full driver licence. Children are welcome but must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times and can’t participate in test drives. Terms and conditions apply.

Things to note

  • All drivers will have the opportunity to test drive at least three vehicles.
  • All drivers must be over 25 and hold a full driver licence which needs to be sighted on the day. Provisional and learner permits are not accepted.
  • All drivers will be required to complete a liability waiver on the day prior to test driving.
  • Each driver needs to complete a registration via Eventbrite to drive.
  • To participate in an EV test drive session you are required to be an RACQ Member.
  • A representative from the vehicle manufacturer will travel in the vehicle's front passenger seat during each test drive.
  • Children are welcome but cannot ride in the vehicles during test drives and must be supervised by a caregiver at all times.
  • Please ensure closed in shoes are worn.
