Jaguar XK Coupe (2010)

by Barry Green,reviewed August 2010

Outwardly, the 2010 Jaguar XK sports a sleeker front bumper, body-coloured fender vents and new LED taillight clusters, but under its sculpted bonnet is a new 5.0-litre V8 which is more powerful (283 kW) and torquey (515 Nm) than the 4.2-litre unit it replaces.
The XK is a cracking drive, albeit without the manic performance of its supercharged XKR sibling.

That shapely body is not just for looks; being alloy it’s also comparatively light and incredibly taut and rigid, helping take the handling to impressive levels.

Shortcomings? The rear seats are cramped and three-quarter vision not so good. But as with the firm ride, you could forgive the XK just about anything.
