Online security update will require a password reset
RACQ is committed to member online security and is updating the login process from 20 August 2026 to include two-factor authentication (2FA) on our online platforms. This change will also support the use of Passkeys for a seamless and secure login experience for members.
What do I need to know?
This important update will trigger a password reset and the use of two-factor authentication (2FA) at login from 20 August for online accounts on My RACQ via RACQ.com and on our mobile apps (Roadside Assistance and Fuel and Deals). This update does not impact the RACQ Bank app or online banking.
What is 2FA?
Two factor authentication adds a second check to verify your identity following your password (e.g. a verification code sent by Microsoft to your chosen device via SMS or e-mail providing another layer of protection, like a double lock on your front door.
What are Passkeys?
Passkeys are a secure way to use a biometric login on your device allowing you to use Fingerprint, FaceID or a PIN on your mobile to seamlessly login to the RACQ website and mobile apps.
The login screen has options to reset your password or username if you have forgotten them.

Stay scam aware
Scammers often take advantage of technology changes by sending fake emails, text messages or making phone calls that appear to come from trusted organisations. If you receive a message about resetting your RACQ password or setting up two-factor authentication, access your account through the RACQ website or app directly rather than clicking links in the message. RACQ will never ask you to share your password, passkey or one-time verification code.
