What is CTP?

CTP insurance premiums are collected by the Department of Transport and Main Roads as part of your vehicle registration fee, but you can choose your preferred insurer and change at any time.

CTP covers payments associated with medical treatment, rehabilitation, care and loss of income for anyone injured, for the required period, except the at-fault driver.

They may, however, be eligible to receive support through the National Injury Insurance Scheme.

The scheme, introduced on 1 July 2016, ensures anyone who sustains serious injuries in a motor accident will receive reasonable treatment, care and support.

RACQ CTP Insurance comes with At-Fault Drive protection as standard, so you can rest assured knowing we are here for you.
