Morning commuters urged to avoid major Brisbane road
The State’s peak motoring body has warned motorists to avoid Sandgate Road at Albion, with heavy traffic delays expected after a water main burst on Friday morning.
RACQ spokesperson Clare Hunter said lanes were closed between Crosby Road and Albion Road as emergency works were being carried out.
“There’s going to be long delays, so it’s best drivers use an alternative route and try to avoid the area,” Ms Hunter said.
“Visit RACQ road conditions for up to date information on road closures before you set off.”
