Planned protest to cause traffic delays
RACQ has warned motorists to expect lengthy delays in the CBD this morning due to protest activity.
The Courier Mail reported the planned protest would impact traffic on George Street and Adelaide Street from 7:45am to 8:45am.
RACQ spokesperson Lauren Ritchie said motorists should check traffic before they began their journey this morning.
“Protest activity is currently underway on George Street and is blocking traffic in the city,” Ms Ritchie said.
“The activity is moving through the CBD causing lengthy this morning and motorists should avoid the area.
“Delays can always take some time to clear, so it’s a good idea to leave a little later in the morning if possible.
“To avoid being stuck in traffic, it’s a good idea to visit RACQ Road Conditions to have a look at your route and perhaps plan an alternate one.”
