Free tolls to avoid school holiday traffic delays
School holiday travellers have been warned of lengthy delays through Brisbane’s CBD due to ongoing maintenance work on the Captain Cook Bridge.
Southbound lanes would be closed from 11:30pm Friday 26 June to 5am Monday 29 June.
RACQ spokesperson Lauren Ritchie recommended drivers took advantage of free tolls on the Go Between Bridge and Clem 7 tunnel to avoid delays.
“There will also be detours in place to help guide motorists, but with many people heading down the coast this weekend for the start of school holidays, long delays are expected,” Ms Ritchie said.
“Please plan ahead and allow extra time if you’re travelling through the city.”
Motorists could stay up to date with the latest traffic and road closure information at RACQ Road Conditions.
