Greater support and flexibility for RACQ employees

RACQ employees are starting the new year with a suite of new and enhanced entitlements designed to provide greater flexibility and support.

From 1 January 2023, all part-time and full-time employees can now access new flexible leave options to celebrate cultural or religious days of significance, an increase in paid parental leave and compassionate leave, a dedicated wellbeing day after two years’ service, and leave to support gender transition.

Chief Purpose Officer MJ Bellotti said these changes support the Club’s diversity and inclusion strategy.

“RACQ is proud to have a diverse workforce, and these changes will go a long way in giving our people more choice and flexibility,” she said.

“We want our people to feel confident to be themselves at work, and that includes celebrating the days that are culturally important to them.

“We also acknowledge there will be occasions when our people might need to take additional time away from work for circumstances outside of their control, and we want to ensure they feel supported to do this.”

Ms Bellotti said these changes were an extension of the support options that are provided to our 2,600 employees across Queensland who play an incredible role in supporting the lives of our members every day.

“To be their best at work, we need to help our people be their best at home. Whether that’s supporting new parents to enjoy time with their family or encouraging people to prioritise their personal wellbeing.”
