10 must-bring things for your road trip
When packing for a road trip it’s easy to be overwhelmed.
Like any trip, you want to make sure you’re covered for any situation that may arise.
Good news - with a campervan and motorhome road trip the key essentials for living will be with you on the road.
Apollo rentals come full equipped with basic kitchen equipment (pots, pans, crockery, and cutlery), as well as bedding, including doonas, sheets towels and pillows.
With the basics covered, here is a short list of what to pack to enhance your trip and let you focus on the fun stuff:
- Don’t forget chargers for your devices – no one wants to miss that epic Instagram shot.
- A power board is also handy to be able to charge multiple things at once.
- Soap/dishwashing liquid is good to bring or else ensure to buy this when you get your groceries on your first day.
- Soft bags are a must- storing hard suitcases becomes tricky inside a motorhome.
- Cards/books and non-electrical entertainment for those times that you want to go the grid.
- While towels are provided, if available its always handy to bring your favourite beach towel.
- Soft bags for groceries – plastic bags are out of fashion!
- Slip on, waterproof shoes for campground showers.
- Sunscreen and mozzie repellent to keep biting bugs at bay.
- Warm/waterproof jacket for those cooler nights or weather changes.
With that out of the way remember, you’re packing for a smaller space, and you’ll always want room to pick up knick-knacks and local finds while on the road.
So ask yourself this before you set off: Do you really need to take those four pairs of shoes?
