Sixty6 Acres expands luxury farmstay experience
Sixty6 Acres has unveiled an on-site restaurant, six mineral plunge pools, and a variety of activities to support 93 powered sites.

Nestled in Woombye, in the heart of the Sunshine Coast, Sixty6 Acres opened in 2023, blending its rich country heritage with stylish accommodations.
Guests can choose from six two-bedroom farm Quarters, each sleeping four, or a three-bedroom Acreage cottage with an outdoor bathhouse, designed for six.
The villa-style accommodations have quickly gained popularity among visitors seeking spacious, high-end stays in a lively rural setting, all just a short 15-minute drive from the Sunshine Coast’s iconic beaches.
Thanks to its expansive grounds, Sixty6 Acres offers visitors a heightened level of privacy and space with 93 new powered sites, many featuring concrete pads.
Guests can enjoy top-tier dining options and a range of onsite activities designed to complement their stay.
Elevating the experience further, the newly introduced Farmhouse restaurant sits atop a picturesque hill, continuing the property's focus on sophisticated luxury.
Rich colours, designer touches, and carefully curated details create an inviting atmosphere throughout the space.
The menu embraces the region’s abundant local produce, paired with a thoughtfully selected beverage list highlighting locally crafted beers and spirits.
Guests can savour flavours enhanced by ingredients grown on-site, including fruit, vegetables, and herbs.
The Farmhouse can accommodate 65 indoor diners and provides cozy lounges and occasional chairs, perfect for unwinding with a book, afternoon tea, or locally sourced drinks.
A nod to Woombye’s agricultural heritage, thousands of pineapple plants flourish across the property, ensuring a steady supply for fresh beverages and dishes.
Activities at Sixty6 Acres include nature walks, encounters with farm animals, pitch-and-putt golf, and seven heated mineral plunge pools adjacent to The Farmhouse Restaurant.
Fully tiled with submerged seating designed for socializing, each pool boasts stunning farm views, with convenient access to restaurant service for food and beverages.
Owners Andrew and Jo Pitcher highlighted the importance of introducing powered sites to cater to travellers who prefer to bring their own caravans, RVs, or camping equipment, while still enjoying the estate's exceptional amenities.
“There isn’t anything quite like Sixty6 Acres on the Sunshine Coast, and it is quite different from the typical ‘holiday park’ concept,” Mr Pitcher said.
“We’re not competing with the swim-up bars and jumping pillows of larger operators; our focus is on delivering a boutique farm-stay experience tailored to discerning travellers.”
Proudly family-owned and operated, the Pitchers bring a personal touch to Sixty6 Acres, deeply rooted in the area's history.
“We grew up within 2km of here, and our passion is reflected throughout the property,” he said.
Sixty6 Acres embraces the growing agritourism movement, merging rural interactions with a celebration of the Sunshine Coast’s agricultural legacy – especially its storied pineapples and sugar cane.
Families are especially drawn to the property’s offerings, including animal encounters, a BMX track, and a designated play area.
“Kids literally have acres and acres to explore, giving parents the chance to unwind and embrace farm life at a relaxed pace,” Mr Pitcher said.
“Whether it’s enjoying the glow of a wood-burning fire, taking a dip in the heated pools, or kicking back with a sundowner at The Farmhouse, our space is designed for special moments.”
Ideal for family reunions, group gatherings, staycations, and celebrations, the property is conveniently located near The Big Pineapple, Wildlife HQ, Treetops, Thrill Hill, and Amaze World.
Current rates include powered sites starting from $100 per night (for two guests), luxury farm Quarters from $500 per night (for four guests), and The Acreage from $650 per night (for six guests).
