Caravan and camping show hits big numbers

Road Trip

Queenslanders’ love of caravanning and camping is showing no signs of waning.

The 2025 Let’s Go Queensland Caravan & Camping Supershow was a huge success.

Large crowds and record sales were the highlights of this year’s Let’s Go Queensland Caravan & Camping Supershow.

Held over five days in early June at the Brisbane Showgrounds, the event – hosted by the Caravan Trade & Industries Association of Queensland – is the biggest of its type in Australia.

This year’s event was the first to welcome visitors via the new Exhibition Train Station, a major infrastructure upgrade that significantly improved accessibility and contributed to an increase in event attendance.

Drawing a crowd of more than 38,000, the Supershow saw a 14% year-on-year increase in attendance, reflecting the continued strength of Queensland’s RV industry and the growing popularity of caravanning as a holiday choice.

The event featured more than 260 exhibitors and showcased about 1,200 RVs – including caravans, campervans, hybrids, and models to suit every budget and lifestyle – across a footprint expanded by 20% compared with the previous year.

Queensland leads way with love of caravanning

Caravanning Queensland’s CEO Jason Plant said that with more than a quarter of a million caravan registrations, it’s no surprise Queensland is home to Australia’s largest caravan expo.

“Our state has embraced the caravanning lifestyle like no other, and the Supershow is a true celebration of that passion,” Mr Plant said.

“Queensland’s love affair with van-life remains strong with exhibitors reporting record-breaking sales.”

Big sales numbers recorded at caravan Supershow

Almost $125 million in sales over five days proved the caravan lifestyle was thriving.

Majestic Caravans Sales Manager Jonathan Mangifesta said that in the 12 years he has been attending caravan expos, this year's Supershow was the biggest to date.

“We doubled our sales this year and cleared a huge amount of floor stock — it was one of the most successful events we've had in terms of turnover,” Mr Mangifesta said.

MDC Assistant National Sales Manager Wayne Chevis also reported record-breaking sales across its three product ranges.

“MDC experienced a 30% increase in comparison to last year’s Supershow, highlighting the ongoing interest in the lifestyle from Queenslanders,” Mr Chevis said.
