About the Samford Garage team

Samford Garage is a family owned and operated local business. Established in 1926, it is part of Samford's proud history, and has looked after cars from the earliest Model T Fords right through to the latest modern hybrid cars.

Samford Garage operated as a multi branded fuel station until it became a Golden Fleece site in the 1960's and then a Caltex site in the 1970's. vIn 1972, Ross Pickering and his wife Janet bought a 50% partnership in the Samford Garage and took 100% ownership in 1992. They also operated RSVP Mechanical at Caltex Ferny Hills and at the Ampol Everton Hills until both petrol stations closed.

Ross is a true local - he was born on a dairy farm now known as The Pickering Hill Estate, which was also the birthplace of his father Ken. His family takes great pride in watching the changes that have occurred in the area over the years.

Modern car servicing – old fashioned service

One of the greatest changes has been with the technology used to service cars. In recent years, the Pickerings have invested heavily in the latest computerised diagnostic testing equipment. Samford Garage is one of the few garages in our area with drive on computerised suspension, steering and brake testing equipment. This means you get Brisbane quality service with country service and prices.

One of the things that hasn't changed over the years, is that our mechanics take their time to do a quality job for our customers. You will never be treated as just a number or have your car shunted through like a sausage machine. We always treat each car and each client with respect, and you can talk directly with the mechanic who has worked on your car.

And we believe in honest pricing and will never start work without talking through pricing and options with you first.
