RACQ Bank: Important information regarding your digital wallet

An update has been issued to RACQ Bank debit cards in mobile wallets to ensure transactions work as normal.

To ensure your card continues to work, we require you to update your card by 31 December 2024. To update, you will need to remove the card from your digital wallet and re-add it.

Key points to note:

  • This update does not impact your physical card, which will continue to function as usual
  • A very small number of debit cards may experience interrupted use if not updated
  • This is not a security issue, and at no point has any data been compromised

My Apple Pay / Google Pay/ Samsung Pay debit card rejected my payment, how do I fix it?

An update has been issued to debit cards in mobile wallets to ensure transactions work as normal from 1 January 2025. However, this update may not have reached your phone. To fix the issue, simply remove the debit card from your mobile wallet and add it back in and your payments will be accepted as normal.

Has my card or phone been compromised?

No, this is about updating an expiry date associated with the card in your mobile wallet. It is not a security issue and at no point has any data been compromised.

Does this impact my regular plastic debit card?

No, this only affects debit cards that have been added to mobile wallets. Your physical card will work fine.
