How do I change my direct debit details for my home and/or contents insurance?

You can change the direct debit payment details for your home and/or contents insurance online via My RACQ. To make this easy, we've provided a handy list of steps to follow.

To change the direct debit details for your home and/or contents insurance:

    Log in to My RACQ here to access your insurance dashboard.
  • icon-step-2
    Select the home/contents insurance policy you'd like to change your direct debit details for.
  • icon-step-3
    Scroll down to the 'Payment method' section and select 'Change payment details'.
  • icon-step-4
    Complete the change payment details form. This form includes 'Change payment details' and 'Review' sections. You must complete all sections to change your direct debit details.

Please note:

  • Payments can be delayed up to 10 days past your original due date.
  • Payment changes can be made up until the day before the policy is due to be debited.
  • You can update your bank account and/or credit card details up until the day before the policy is due to be debited.
