Enjoy a line-up of Australian music legends at this year’s Big Skies festival at Jimbour Plains from 27 April - 5 May.
The nine-day festival is set to celebrate the sights, sounds and tastes of the Western Downs region with an extraordinary line up of events for festival goers.

Day on the Plain
Join John Paul Young, Ross Wilson, Deni Hines, Pseudo Echo and Jon Stevens as they perform an open-air rock concert, Day on the Plain, in front of the historic Jimbour House. Continue the festivities at the Day on the Plain Late Show at the Jimbour Station Camp Kitchen for a cash bar, DJ and late-night feast.
The Chef’s Table
Spend an afternoon under a canopy of trees and enjoy a five-course gourmet luncheon at The Chef's Table. Designed by celebrity chef Ben O'Donoghue and wine connoisseur Des Houghton, celebrate the fresh produce of the Western Downs at an elegant dining experience like no other.
Jimbour House tours
Back by popular demand, Jimbour House is once again opening its doors to festival-goers. Discover a world of tradition, expedition and opulence hidden inside one of the country's most elegant and charming working homesteads.
Dalby Picnic Races
Experience the fun and frivolity of country racing at its best with the 107th annual Dalby Picnic Races where high fashion and high stakes combine at one of the region's signature calendar events. Bringing close to 8000 punters to the region every year, the Picnic Races are one of Queensland's largest and most exciting country races.
The excitement continues when the sun sets over the Jimbour Plains. Gather around the crackling camp bonfire and experience our famous country hospitality and secret recipes at the Camp Oven Experience.
Bring along some blankets, chairs and a picnic basket to the outdoor cinema under the stars. Food will be available for purchase throughout the night with proceeds going to the Dalby PCYC.
Garden and Gallery Champaign Picnic
Kylie Bourne Mosaics studio and garden-gallery will be open for viewing, so come along and enjoy an afternoon of mingling and meeting under the 100-year-old jacarandas on the banks of the Dogwood Creek.
