Noosa Alive

The Sunshine Coast’s premier arts and cultural festival returns to Noosa.

Noosa Alive! will once again bring world class musicians, authors, dancers, artists, food events and more to the Sunshine Coast for 10 days of arts and culture.

Returning for its 15th year, the festival will transform local venues and spaces into stages for the world’s best performers.

Noosa Alive! 2019 Producer Tim Loydell said this year’s program will have arts lovers spoilt for choice.

“We’re thrilled to be offering locals and visitors alike the opportunity to savour a diverse offering of music, theatre, dance, art, film, literature and even culinary experiences at this year’s festival,” Mr Loydell said.

“We’re excited to deliver a veritable smorgasbord of local, national and international talent, with a really broad spectrum of arts experiences.

“It’s a program that has something for everyone, and it’s a privilege to bring such talent to the region.”

Headlining the festival is the Queensland Ballet’s exclusive Ballet Alive performance.

Queensland Ballet Artistic Director Li Cunxin said he was thrilled be part of the Noosa Alive! line-up of local, national and international artists.

“After six years of performing as part of the festival, we well and truly consider the event as part of our annual season and we’re very proud to partner with Noosa Alive,” Mr Li said.

“It’s a wonderful opportunity for us to bring together the rising stars of Queensland Ballet alongside our Company Artists to showcase the breadth of talent in our company.
“For audiences our performances offer the perfect taste tester of what we’re all about as we perform new contemporary works alongside divertissements from our classical repertoire.”

Other festival highlights include performances from the Modern Maori Quartet, Tim Freedman of The Whitlams, The Umbilical Brothers and cabaret star Michaela Burger.

Tickets are available from the Noosa Alive! website.
