Accessing RACQ’S digital services has become much easier for members

We've created a new login process to make our digital channels more secure and easier to use. This new process removes the need for members to remember passwords or membership numbers when logging in to an account or registering.

You can now generate a one-time passcode (OTP) to authenticate your identity. Once you have your identity confirmed by entering the code sent to you, you can then log straight in, reset your password, or in the case of new registrations, set a password.

You can do this whether you have already registered for online services and have your password, or are unsure if you're already registered. You will then be guided through an authentication process.

Members who don’t remember their password will be asked to enter an email address before being given the option of receiving a one-off code via their mobile phone or email. Even if it is an unregistered email, we can still identify you by the registered credentials we have on the system such as name, phone number, postcode and date of birth.

Frequently Asked Questions

RACQ is introducing a new solution to make our digital channels more secure and easier to use.

In this first phase we will improve the member registration and login experience for My RACQ Profile including introduction of a one-time passcode (OTP) to authenticate a member’s identity.

A one-time passcode (OTP), also known as one-time PIN or dynamic password, is a password that is valid for only one login session or transaction, on a computer system or other digital device.

Each one-time passcode (email and SMS) is valid for 5 minutes only. A new passcode will need to be generated after this time has lapsed.

A new passcode can be generated. After five (5) incorrect login attempts you will be locked out for fifteen (15) minutes.

We will be rolling this change out in phases for all our digital products, however Phase 1 will only apply to the following services:

  • My RACQ Profile
  • Fleet portal (business customers only)

Free2Go members can register for a My RACQ Profile the same as all other members.

We recognise our members experience friction with the registration and login process. Once this process rolled out across all RACQ digital offers, your experience will be improved by:

  • Reducing the number of steps needed to complete registration and login
  • Reducing the number of passwords you need for each site

Changes will be live from 28 March 2021

All members will automatically have access to My RACQ Profile as part of the update.
