An application should be submitted for each position you apply for.
What you’ll need
- A cover letter clearly identifying the position you are applying for, and outlining your skills and experience.
- A clear, concise and up-to-date resume with relevant contact details, and work history.
- You must include the specified reference number within your application.
- Your application must be received by the Hiring Manager prior to the closing date and time, in order to be considered;
- You must be an Australian Citizen, have permanent residency status or an appropriate working visa to apply for a position with RACQ.
The selection process
Our recruitment process is tailored to each individual role, but there are a few core elements we like to follow to make sure we recruit the best individuals for the job and for RACQ.
All applications are reviewed based on the key selection criteria outlined in the job advertisement and position description. Telephone interviews may also be conducted to assist in the short-listing phase.
Short listed candidates are then interviewed by a panel. This interview is designed to find out more information about each candidate’s knowledge, skills and experience.
Applicants may be required to complete ability and psychometric tests prior to the interview stage, or at around the same time as an interview. These tests may include verbal, numeric and abstract reasoning, as well as personality profiles, work samples and Microsoft Office assessments.
Health Assessments, criminal checks and driving history reports may also be required for certain positions, these tests can occur before or after interviews depending on the role.
To complete the selection process, your nominated work referees will be contacted to provide recent information about you and to clarify information provided in your application or at interview. The panel will contact at least two listed referees and may contact additional referees to seek further information. Referees may be contacted at any time during the recruitment process.

Can I submit an expression of interest for a position not currently advertised?
Unfortunately, we are only able to consider applications that are provided in response to a current vacancy.
Can I apply for more than one position at any one time?
Yes. If you are interested in multiple positions and your skills and experience match the requirements outlined in the position description, please apply for each position. We will consider your application for each position.
What happens after I submit my resume online?
Once you apply for a position, we’ll send you an email confirming that we have received it. Then if you are successful in gaining an interview we will contact you. If you are not successful in gaining an interview you will be notified.
