Helping to deliver affordable and fair member mobility choices

RACQ advocates for fair and justifiable transport costs, whether imposed by industry or government.

  • Fuel pricing: To foster a fair, competitive and transparent fuel market, and to ensure prices are reasonable compared to the rest of Australia and international benchmark prices.
  • Future fuels/security: To ensure the ongoing availability of fuel and a fair and just transition to an electrified and zero/low emission fuel transport network for all Queenslanders.
  • Road pricing: To work on creating a fair, equitable and sustainable land transport taxation system for Australia to provide sustainable revenue to invest in infrastructure.
  • Vehicle ownership: To reduce both member costs and CO2 emissions while maximising vehicle options. To ensure reasonable costs of road transport for Queenslanders through researching/advocating for a new road user taxation system.
  • Traffic congestion: Advocate to Government to manage congestion for improved mobility choices.
  • Active transport/e-mobility policy: To maximise member mobility choice and reduced transport emissions through providing advice and information while advocating for active and e-mobility (e-scooters, etc) transport infrastructure.
